MDH-3500 Flame Retardant

Product Description

MDH-3500 is a filler-type flame retardant containing 69±1% magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2). It is specifically designed for use in polymer materials, offering excellent flame retardant and smoke suppression properties, along with environmental benefits. It is a layered hydroxide structure with a thermal conductivity of 0.131~0.213 w/m-k.

When exposed to heat, MDH-3500 decomposes, releasing crystalline water and absorbing a large amount of latent heat. This not only reduces the temperature of the material in the flame but also inhibits the further decomposition of flammable gases, preventing combustion. When mixed with red phosphorus, it achieves even better flame-retardant effects. It is suitable for various plastic, rubber, PU, fiber, coating, and resin applications as an additive.
